Gummy smiles or lip lines.
-

-
Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin that temporarily relaxes muscles to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It is commonly used for cosmetic purposes and certain medical conditions.
-
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the targeted muscles, preventing them from contracting. This relaxation smooths out wrinkles and fine lines, especially in areas like the forehead, crow’s feet, and between the eyebrows.
-
Yes, Botox is FDA-approved and has been used safely for decades. When administered by a qualified professional, it is a minimally invasive and effective treatment with minimal risks.
XEOMIN®
Xeomin is ideal for smoothing the appearance of wrinkles in between the eyebrows, around the eyes and forehead. Xeomin is very similar to Botox. Both products contain a botulinum toxin and achieve the same results, however Xeomin contains a more natural form of botulinum toxin, a version without any additives. Patients who use this purified version may be less likely to develop an antibody resistance, often seen with individuals who have been receiving injections over a long period of time.
Depending on your history with muscle relaxers and the speed of your metabolism, one injectable may work better for you than others. Receiving Xeomin is a quick and painless procedure, offering results that last for months at a time!
XEOMIN® FAQ’S
-
XEOMIN® is a prescription injectable that contains botulinum toxin type A, used to temporarily relax muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It is similar to Botox but contains fewer additives, making it a purer form of botulinum toxin.
-
XEOMIN® works by blocking nerve signals to the targeted muscles, which prevents them from contracting and causing wrinkles. This relaxation smooths out dynamic wrinkles like forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines.
-
Yes, XEOMIN® is FDA-approved and has been used for many years to treat both cosmetic concerns and medical conditions. It is considered safe when administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
-
XEOMIN® is primarily used to treat:
Frown lines (glabellar lines) between the eyebrows.
Forehead lines and crow’s feet around the eyes.
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Treatment of medical conditions like blepharospasm (eyelid spasms) and cervical dystonia (neck spasms).
-
The effects of XEOMIN® typically last between 3-6 months, depending on the area treated and individual factors. Regular treatments are needed to maintain the results.
-
XEOMIN® is similar to Botox in that it contains botulinum toxin type A, but it is considered a "purer" version because it contains no complexing proteins. This means that XEOMIN® may have a lower risk of developing resistance over time. Both treatments work in a similar way, but XEOMIN® may be preferable for some patients due to its composition.
